Despite being the new kid on the block (and literally being a kid, when the rest of the bloggers were adults), I was never treated like I was lesser. Where in other cases news sites of similar subject matter may regard each other as rivals and sworn enemies, the Pixar blog community is by far the friendliest group of individuals I have ever encountered on the internet. Or handshake, whichever you're comfortable with.Īnother one of my favorite aspects of running this blog was getting to mingle with the minds behind many of the other Pixar blogs on the web. So the fact that I had people from around the world enjoying my little blog and going out of their way to let me know was surreal, and I am, as the Toy Story Aliens would put it, "eternally grateful." If you ever reached out to me to tell me you liked Pixar Corner and are reading this now, consider this a virtual hug. This was never a professional news site by any means, just a pastime for a kid who happened to really like Pixar and animation. I soon started getting comments from people telling me, "Great job!" and "Keep up the good work!" That meant and still means the world to me.Īs time went on I continued receive comments, emails, and tweets from fellow Pixar fanatics who appreciated the blog, and it never ceased to blow my mind. My writing was clunky, and yet by some miracle, people embraced what I was doing. When I began doing this in 2010, I was an eager and excitable 11-year-old with no real sense of what journalism or blogging were. This blog has been an adventure beyond my wildest dreams, surpassing anything I could have ever imagined when I first started, and I mean that quite sincerely. So apologies in advance, I may get rather sentimental. However, I'm not about to go without first reminiscing and showing a bit of gratitude. As such, I have made the decision to close the book on Pixar Corner. I don't want to leave this site collecting dust when I know I can no longer take care of it as well as I used to. I have been inactive on social media this year as well, so as to dedicate more time towards tending to other aspects of my life. Recent developments have made it more difficult to maintain a blog and give it the attention it needs, thus Pixar Corner fell into an unscheduled hiatus for the past year. It's been rather quiet around here for the past while.

I was a little weary of pro tools and the plugins after all that but after about 5 videos and restarting my computer 5 times I get no DAE errors and my waves not only run fine but fast and with very little latency. SSL 4000 Collection is a bundle of plug-ins available for nearly all formats. It functions as a VST Plugin, an Audio Units Plugin, a VST 3 Plugin, an RTAS Plugin and an AAX Plugin. But basically there a bunch of 5 minute steps and little things you do in system preferances. At SSL 4000 Collection by Waves is a Virtual Effect Audio Plugin for macOS and Windows. Nothing worked except for these optimization videos I found on you tube. Related Videos: SSL 4000 Collection Plug-in Bundle. I vigoursly started looking for ways to fix my machine and all that. Ask anyone who mixes at Sweetwater, and they'll confirm that the Waves SSL 4000 Collection is a set of top-notch sound tools. At first i had DAE errors all the time my rtas would open but I would only get about 3-4 seconds of record time before a dae error popped up. Hey man im running Pro Tools 8 LE on my windows 7 with the Waves SSL Mercury pack (it has most of the same plugins as the 4000), reason, antares, and t racks 3. Everything worked as advertised on a Razer Blade laptop, and I was able to look around my sample 360-degree video world. At first I was using a PC that didn't have the required graphics processor level, and though the HTC software worked, PowerDVD wasn't having it. The software provides a menu and instructions in the VR view for how to use it, and I was able to view digital still photos and both 2D and 3D videos through it. Believe me, being in a movie can be a lot more fun than merely watching one. The VR headset support is cool, and I saw an impressive demo of the software using and Oculus Rift, in which you can take part in both animated and live 360 productions. It can take a double circular image and convert that to an equirectangular view that you can navigate with the mouse cursor. PowerDVD now supports 360-degree video, such as that from the Samsung Gear 360 and the Nikon KeyMission 360, or from online sources, such as YouTube and Vimeo. The mere existence of mobile apps, by the way, is a big differentiator between PowerDVD and the Corel and Microsoft software, which lack remote control (or viewing) apps. When using TV Mode, you can't use the mouse for playback controls-only the keyboard, an on-screen remote, or the Cyberlink's remote mobile app. This view made playing a Blu-ray much easier than PC Mode in testing. As you'd expect, the TV layout features much larger buttons, and they're in a horizontal menu instead of the PC version's vertical layout. You can customize the menus so that only options you use frequently are displayed, and you can use wallpapers to gussy them up. There are sections for added media, CyberLink Cloud-stored media, local folders, playlists, online video (from YouTube and Vimeo), and devices (including DLNA-connected devices and attached storage). If you prefer one app to rule all your media, as opposed to using Windows 10's separate Movies & TV, Photos, and Groove Music apps, then PowerDVD will appeal to you. And those are all accessible from a left panel in the PC interface. In addition to being a player of disc-based video, PowerDVD handles all your media, including locally and remotely stored music, photos, and videos. You can set it to always go to one or the other if you prefer, and you can switch to the one you're not using at any time. PowerDVD's starting splash screen offers just two big option buttons: PC Mode and TV Mode. PowerDVD's UI is, however, more complicated than that of another important competitor, Microsoft's Movies & TV, which also plays your local video files and offers a movie and TV store-important because it's free and comes with every copy of Windows 10. PowerDVD's interface is more modern than that of its closest competitor, Corel WinDVD, which looks somewhat stuck in the past. |
